Reservations: Weekend reservations during high season and on holidays may require a two night minimum stay. Please enquire when making reservations.

Calls: Reservation and information calls are welcomed from 9:00AM to 8:00PM EST at 540 554-8652. Calls received outside of these hours will be returned the next business day.

Deposits: A deposit is not necessary to confirm your reservation, however we do require a credit card at time of booking. By giving us a credit card number, you authorize the Inn to charge any and all cancellation penalties to this card as per our cancellation policy outlined below.

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations received 7 days or more prior to arrival will be accepted without penalty. Cancellations received within 7 days of arrival will forfeit a one night's stay plus 9.5% taxes, regardless of our ability to re-rent the room. In exceptional circumstances, the Inn will permit a "rain check" and permit you to credit your one night penalty towards a future stay. Please be aware that this is for exceptional circumstances only and entirely at the discretion of the Inn.

Payment: Although we take a credit card at time of booking, please note that we do not accept credit cards for payment upon checkout. We accept only personal checks (out of state must have proper identification), traveler’s checks, money orders, bank checks and cash. There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks.

Children: Although we love children, Stringfellow's feels that we are not appropriate for children under 10. Our rooms are not decorated with child-friendly furnishings and we do not have in house strollers, cribs, play pens, bassinets or high chairs. We would, however, be more than happy to assist in finding alternate accommodations for those families traveling with small children.

Pets: Our resident Inn-cats, Thomas and the Wart, and our resident Inn-dogs, Lucy, Duke and Buffy, prefer not to compete with other pets for attention, so unfortunately we cannot accommodate additional animals. For those of you with pet related allergies please be assured that our pets are not permitted in any of the Inn's guest rooms.

Smoking: Stringfellow's is a strictly smoke-free environment. No smoking is permitted in the public areas, in the guest rooms, or on the guest room balconies. Considerate smokers are permitted in designated outdoor areas only, and will be asked to dispose of tobacco waste in the appropriate containers.

Check in and Check Out: To ensure that each room is perfectly prepared for your arrival, we do not allow check-in prior to 3:30PM. Generally, you should check in prior to 7:00PM, however a slightly later check in can be accommodated with advance arrangement. We do not permit check in later that 10:00PM except in highly unusual circumstances. Check out time is 11:00AM the next morning. We regret that, generally, late check outs cannot be accommodated as we need access to the rooms to prepare them for incoming guest arrivals.

Equally, early check in is usually impossible for us due to the time it takes to turn rooms and the public areas around from the previous day. Please understand that it is not acceptable to “turn up” unexpectedly hoping to check in early. We are not a hotel with a large inventory of rooms.

”Consideration of other guests”

We would ask that you consider your fellow guests should you elect to stay up late and enjoy the porches and gazebos. We would ask that patrons make the minimum noise when returning to their rooms late at night.
